Einzelheiten zur Veranstaltung
The Italian National Museum of National History (MUNSPA) is a permanent exhibition that includes the Museum of the History of Medicine.
It has the only section in Italy, and one of the few in the world, dedicated to the history of medicine during wartime and the evolution of medical science on the battlefield. The informative exhibition is divided into two sections: First Aid from the Roman Legions to the creation of the Red Cross. The second section covers technical developments from the 19th century to the Second World War.
Under the Chancellery of Hermann Müller (1928-1930) and Kurt von Schleicher (1932-1933), Germany created the first truly offensive armored vehicle, which could also be converted to ambulance use.
It was called the Sd.Kfz. 231 Schwere Panzerspähwagaen 6 rad.
The armored car was produced in the Soviet Union. The development of this armored car began long before the Nazi regime took power, as it relied on the Kazan center in the Soviet Union. Since the Treaty of Versailles severely limited Germany’s military vehicle development capabilities (only the construction of armored cars for maintaining public order was permitted, and each series had to be approved in terms of model and quantity by the control commission), the German authorities made agreements with foreign nations to develop their military vehicles, also transferring technology to these nations, which were generally less advanced than Germany in the warfare field.
No models of these armored ambulance cars exist anymore. We want to rebuild one.
The museum has the technology, technical data, and expertise to build it, but not the money.
We would like to speak to some funds interested in the project about raising funds.
